New WebKit Based Products Offered on a Variety of Mobile
Phone Platforms

Sunnyvale, CA—Feb. 5, 2009—Open Mobile OS company Azingo today announced two new products, Azingo Browser and Azingo Web Runtime, each designed to enable handset makers to deliver next generation Web 2.0 experiences on mobile phones. Based on WebKit open source technology, Azingo’s Browser and Web Runtime can be licensed for open and proprietary operating systems. Azingo’s new products will be demonstrated at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona (booths 2.1D53 and 8B135), Feb. 16-19, 2009.

The Azingo Browser offers industry leading performance and desktop-class features to a broad class of mobile phone products with both touch and keypad user interfaces. Azingo’s Browser provides many features including tabbed browsing, cookies, history, bookmarks, security, easy-to-use page navigation and multimedia plug-ins. Additionally, the Azingo Browser works with Adobe Flash Lite v3.1 technology delivering a more complete browsing experience.

Azingo Web Runtime is a WebKit based technology that installs and executes web applications (widgets) on a variety of mobile platforms. Furthermore, Azingo Web Runtime supports a plug-in architecture to enable multiple web widget standards, including W3C, Nokia S60, Apple Dashboard and more. Using Azingo Web Runtime and the Azingo Web Studio (web applications SDK), developers can create applications using familiar web technologies such as AJAX, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS. Web Runtime applications behave like native applications and deliver Web 2.0 experiences tailored for the small screens and task-oriented workflows of mobile phones. Azingo’s mobile web applications can interface with both Internet content and services as well as utilize Azingo’s comprehensive set of APIs to access the functions and data of mobile devices.
